Tom hadn't felt like going down to the dance before. Or at least that's what he told his boyfriend. To some effect, it was a bit true. Except for the most part, Tom was really just thinking of ideas of how to dress for the dance. In the end, he decided it would be a great inside joke if he went as a vampire.

With fake fangs in, and spooky makeup plastered on his face, he threw on a dankly looking clock with a hood draping over his head. He looked like a classic Hollywood vampire. When he glanced in the mirror, he laughed at his foolish looks.

The next moment he was downstairs, and already he noticed how fantastic the dance looked. The decorations were perfect, the students had done well. Almost everyone looked dressed up, or in some sort of formal dress. Ghouls, Spooks, and other creepy things that go bump in the night were all walking around sipping punch, dancing to Reo playing up on stage, or just chatting with all their friends. It was amazing to have time like this back at Hogwarts, even though times weren't so great.

Alex was over in the corner, talking to his group of friends, that Tom didn't care too much for, but tried his best to act kind to them in order to keep things easy.

Alex had gone as Tarzan. Tom knew he did it just to charm a few people, if not to show off his body. Tom of course was just as entwined with his lovers Veela charm that he couldn't dream of complaining. He made sure Alex wasn't looking, and creeped his way over close, hoping to scare his boyfriend.

He jumped on Alex's back as if to force him to give him a "piggy-back-ride" and screamed,"BOO!" loud enough to cause glances around the room. He got off before he caused his boyfriend to toff over from the weight, and smiled a warming smile at him. "Surprise!"
