Rules and Regulations

These are the rules for Hogwarts Dreams RPG:

If seen breaking any of these rules, you will first get a warning, with a PM explaining why you have gotten said warning. Upon a second time, you will get a stronger warning, and another PM explaining why and not to do it again. Upon a 3rd time, you will be banned for 3 weeks. If it happens a 4th time, you will be banned. Unless otherwise noted.

Some quick simple and common rules are:

No Mary Sues
No mini modding
No anime models for your character (we aren't RPing as cartoons)
Do not post anywhere IN character before your character is accepted. Feel free to post Out of Character in non-RP zones before accepted.
No neon or highlight color text. It is far too hard to read.
No 'poor' grammar, spelling. (avoid it as best as possible)
No Spamming
Keep sex/swearing/drugs at a PG-13 rating. [unless using whispers, which will be explained here]
Keep signatures width below 600 at most.
Your applications, RPing, and writing should be your very own, and not stolen from anywhere else.
Respect ALL members and staff.

Other rules

1. Only have one character one each account unless otherwise noted. Feel free to have more than one character, just make a new account to do so.

2. Your characters name will be your display name, and your avatar or signature (at least one) should have a picture of your character.

3. Do not bother the staff with requests to accept your application. We will get to it, we promise.

4. Third person past tense when Role Playing, unless writing in a diary or letter.

5. Posting minimum for Role Playing is 10 sentences. You are encouraged to write more if able.

6. In the last version of Hogwarts Dreams, we had students from America, Japan, all over the place. No more of that. In the books and movies most, if not all, of the students and teachers come from England . For the sake of keeping the plot and RP running smoothly, your character is born and raised in England. Keep that in mind.

7. Elf's, Werewolves, Vampires, half breeds, Animagus, twins and things of such nature will be limited and only with staff permission, unless it is canon. If you would like one, please PM a staff member before thinking about adding it to your application.

8. You MUST stay active. If you are inactive for 2 months without notice, your character will be moved into the trash file. You may get the out if you ever come back on line by simply PMing a staff member, however you must go through the sorting hat again. Your house year, and spot will be cleared, and free for any other student to take your place. So if your character gets in the trash, and you come back wanting to be in the same year you were, and all those spots are filled, you will not get the spot back.

9. Stealing Character Creation applications, RPs, or anything else that is not your own creation and work, is violating the TOS rules of proboards. It will result in a ban from the site, and you WILL be caught. Do your OWN work.

*The site will have an activity check every 2 months. You must post in the thread to prove your activity.
