Ravenclaw House Meeting *Ravenclaw Members* « Thread Started on Nov 2, 2008, 12:52am »
The Ravenclaw house was the most prestigious and magnificent houses of all the houses at Hogwarts. It was the house that valued intelligence and wit over all else. The houses founder didn't bother getting involved in petty blood disputes or other silly natured things like that. No, they were the house of the wise, the smart, the house of Rowena Ravenclaw. Alex took great pride in being a Ravenclaw, because for the Sorting Hat to even consider you for the house, you had to be smart or have some attention to detail of that sort.
Alex felt it was time to get his house organized, on a united front sort of like the Slytherin's did naturally. That's all that made the Slytherin house what it was, their unity, their bullheaded protection of their own. Now, with Alex's house getting them united should be easy enough, but on the same wave length that the Slytherin's were was another story. No matter what, Ravenclaws thought things through, and if that meant ditching a house mate for a more logical reason than that's how it went. Alex wanted to organize some sort of 'House Government' or something that could get his peers together and friends. There was no reason that they all at least didn't know each other.
Alex had made the appropriate accommodations to contact all of his house mates, so that they'd meet him in the library to discuss organizing and a fraternization all together. Everyone in his house probably knew Alex or heard about him somewhere or another, because he was the only half-Veela at Hogwarts, and that had it's baggage. The Veela boy sat at a table in the depths of the library, waiting for his house mates to arrive.

Zachary wandered down one of the library aisles. Lets see, turn left passed the Advanced Herbology Collection, passed Hermione Granger's faded S.P.E.W. poster, and there it was. Zachary stepped out from between a pair of shelves, holding the note he had recieved about a "Gathering of the Ravens." Alex, who had sent him the note, was the only one at the table. Zach walked over to the table and sat down a couple of seats from Alex. "Hey, Alex. What's going on?" Zachary didn't have his notebook with him, but somehow still gave off the impression of a reporter with his quill posed above a parchment.

"Ah isn't it glorious when a flock of birds comes together and forms one single unit that can go any distance so long as they are one." This was said by Ravenclaw's resident musician, Reo, who had also gotten Alex's note. He was excited about the idea, although he loathed conforming to set rules and such. The house division he disliked actually. People formed their own groups naturally so why force them into one large group. Didn't seem to fit with some. But he'd at least see what Alex had to say.

Alex was very happy to see Zach and Reo show up to his little meeting, however he was disappointed that more of his house mates didn't take the time to show up, especially the older ones, because it was them that everyone looked up to as an example. But, whatever, this was a start. "Hi Zach." He hadn't much experience or time with the boy, but from what Alex had observed of him he was pretty cool, and a most valuable ally. The next to show up was Reo, oh unique Reo. His very presence couldn't help but make Alex smile. "Hi Reo!" Alex smiled.
The point of this little meeting was to unite his house, kind of how the Slytherins were, but more so just to get to know his house mates. "So, guys. I've summoned you for a very special reason: we need to work on house unity, getting to know one another. It's never been the Ravenclaw way to make blatant political statements, but we have to make sure we aren't divided and bullied. I'd also really like to get to know you guys. I guess the Slytherin house is a model house for looking out for one another, and I just want to discuss this."

Zach pursed his lips thoughtfully. "That is a good idea. Ravenclaw's often get picked on because of their brains, and bullied into helping other Houses with their homework." Zach paused, then gave a wry smile. "Or at least, into helping Gryffindors and Slytherins." Zach leaned forward. "So, how would we set this up? Do we try and bring it up in the common room, or maybe bring it to Professor Flitwick?" Zach was defintely interested. He had had some problems in Second and Third year with a group of Gryffindors demanding homework help.
